For the knowledge exam, the following documents are accepted: a Florida ID; a resident card plus Social Security card; a valid work permit plus Social Security card; a letter of fingerprint for residency or Social Security card (or passport); or an I-94 plus passport. For the driving exam, you must bring a valid learner's permit. If you have any further questions, please contact our office at (305) 364-5676.
The knowledge exam is a one-hour test, although many of our students finish it much faster. Before the exam, you will attend a live preparation class for approximately 2½ hours, covering road signs, traffic laws, and safe driving practices. The knowledge exam can only be taken in English. However, our preparation class is taught in both English and Spanish, and our website and study materials are fully available in both languages to help you prepare. If you have any further questions, please contact our office at (305) 364-5676.
We're open Monday through Saturday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. We are closed on Sundays. Driving exam appointments start at 10:00 AM on weekdays and 9:00 AM on Saturdays.

Don't worry — you can retake the exam! If you took the exam with us the first time, retaking it at our school is completely free for both the knowledge and driving exams. Keep in mind that you are allowed to take the exam up to three times with a TPA and an unlimited number of times at the Tax Collector's office. However, if you fail twice at the Tax Collector's office, you will only have one remaining attempt with a TPA.
